SummaryWe have a current opportunity for a Digital or Analog Staff Electrical Design Engineer located at our new facility in Georgetown, IN. We are looking for someone who is excited about commercial space and the challenges of operating commercial electronics in the harshness of space. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of circuit design including digital and analog design, test and analysis. ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the design, build and test of space-based electronics for multiple projectsElectronic circuit design with layout using ECAD softwareDesign VAC and VDC analog circuits, up to 250V. Designs may include sensors and components connected by ADC and DAC circuitry.Design digital circuits with microcontrollers and high-speed communication. This may include protocols such as I2C, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, USB and Ethernet.Design electromechanical systems that may include step motors, DC motors, miniature solenoids, miniature pumps, feedback sensors and switches. Knowledge of control system principles and feedback loops.Design electronics for high-reliability and EMI sensitive environments. Knowledge of EMI/EMC/ESD standards and testing.Proving out a design using simulation and mathematicsInteracting technically with customers and product/project managementCompile information and documentation for design reviews, verifications, and presentationsConduct applicable reviews, meetings, and technical presentationsIdeal ExperienceBachelors Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline, or other related FieldMinimum 5 years of experience designing electronic circuits using ECAD based programsPCB/Layout experienceSimulation experience using a Spice based toolExperience working with Software and Mechanical EngineersExperience working with Test, Procurement and Manufacturing TeamsDesired SkillsTwo successful product releases7 years of professional, relevant experienceExperience designing for commercial space, or traditional space with commercial product experienceExperience with Diptrace, Altium or KicadSeeking Experience in either Analog or Digital circuit design:Digital circuit design experience: Low speed (
