This role will report to Sr. Manager Manufacturing Engineering and based in Newark DE. This is a fully on-site in office role.Role and Responsibilities:Develop equipment specifications for the manufacturing assembly testing and material handling processesExperience with automated Equipment. Specifically:Support equipment with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human- Machine Interface (HMI) programming to include motion and servo controlsAbilit to modify existing control logic to improve safety performance or throughputParticipate in commissioning of new automated equipment and ensure all devices function as designedInstallation commissioning and support of vision systems for tracking and quality inspectionsPerforms engineering work in mechanical electrical and structural systems utilized in test material handling welding and machining equipmentLead equipment design installation and start up/implementation projectsDesign and fabricate tooling assemblies for manufacturingManage project schedules budgets and status reports to leadershipCoordinate project implementation with vendors facility engineering manufacturing engineering and production teamsIdentify opportunities to increase safety reduce costs increase efficiency and improve qualityPreparing capital equipment justifications and requestProduce or review and approve system as-built/as-installed drawingsSome flexibility to work off shifts/weekends depending on business needsSkills and Experience: Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalentManufacturing or Equipment Engineer with minimum of 3 years of experienceTool design and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Functional knowledge of PLCs low voltage controls three phase power distribution industrial control panels electronic sensors pneumatics hydraulicsEquipment requirement development and specification writingKnowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standardsAutoCAD/SolidWorks/MS Office suiteStrong Communication skills (written and public speaking)Physical Requirements:Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses safety-toed boots).Ability to stand/walk for up to 4 hours per shiftNavigate the facility throughout the dayOccasionally lift/carry up to 15 poundsVisual acuity sufficient for product inspection computer editing and review of digital/printed materialsHearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staffAbility to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodationBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
