Our recruiters look forward to speaking with you about your background skills and compensation requirements.Department: OperationsLocation: Atlanta GAPosition DescriptionResponsible for successfully leading the facility and equipment maintenance repair installation and upkeep as well asregulatory compliance. This position works with multiple department managers as well as vendors and suppliers to support operations in providing exceptional service to our customers and directs a culture of continuous improvement through process improvement best practices measurement and accountability. This position also coordinates with necessary regulatory agencies interfaces with auditors and inspectors and with internal resources to ensure compliance with all federal state local and company requirements and programs.ResponsibilitiesMaintenance and Facility ManagementDirectly manages all facility maintenance and equipment procurement repairs maintenance and installationManages approximately 2-3 associates in a 1.0 million sq. foot campus consisting of 2 buildings. More locations and buildings are expected to be added in the future.Manages team members to execute operational goals and expectations. Reviews team performance via frequent feedback and formal performance reviewsOversees vendors and contractors to minimize productivity disruptionsDirectlyresponsible for building maintenance to include structural maintenance dock doors dock plates exhaust fans small plumbing jobs etc.Directly responsible for MHE fleetyard trucks packaging equipment and automated/robotic equipment repairs and maintenance for locationEnsures compliance with all applicable federal state and local regulations and all Saddle Creek policies and procedures regarding safety and complianceDevelops recommendations for purchases including facility supplies equipment and servicesConducts solicitation of new vendors analyzes bids and negotiates agreements with service providersManages all service vendors to ensure compliance with service agreementsPerforms basic inspections checks and audits related to safety security and fire suppression to include knowledge of fire extinguishers riser dump valves pump testing and system maintenanceQualificationsEducation/Experience10 years of experience of progressive facility/machinery/equipment maintenance experience in a warehouse manufacturing or distribution environment. Food Grade experience is preferredHigh school diploma or GED required Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience5 years of supervisory experience directly supervising or managing a team of salaried and hourly associatesExperience negotiating and managing vendor service agreementsExperience managing facilities and/or equipment maintenance in a construction distribution manufacturing or fleet maintenance settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust demonstrate collaborative leadership skills to influence and manage changeProficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) internet web-based and job specific software applicationsPossess good time management and decision-making skills and have the ability to prioritize duties in a high-stress environmentKnowledge Skills and AbilitiesHands-on leader accustomed to participating in maintenance activities as needed with practical experience and a solid mechanical aptitudeAbility to build strong working relationships with all levels of managementAbility to lead others in a positive working environment and to grow and develop employeesProven ability to successfully meet deliverables and excel in a fast paced and challenging environmentAbility to negotiate make recommendations and prepare written proposalsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and present information to employees at all levelsAbility to read and interpret blueprints schematics and other diagramsDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel occasionally as requiredSolid judgment problem solving and decision-making skillsMust have a proven record of taking initiative and responsibility both individually and as a member of a teamExperience writing detailed policies and procedures and process flow documentsProcess improvement and continuous improvement experience#LI-EP1.Benefits:Benefits packageincluding medical dental vision HSA and medical reimbursementAnnual bonus eligibility401(k) matchVacation and holiday payEmployee assistance and identity theft protectionCareer development and opportunity for internal promotionsTuition reimbursement for further educationCompany paid life insurance and short term disability Saddle Creek is an Equal Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer as required by law.
