The Finance Cost and Productivity Leader will provide dedicated focus to improving GE9X cost for new and aftermarket engines. This role partners with multiple operations teams to achieve business targets.The candidate must demonstrate ability to work and influence cross functionally with an ability to independently perform analytics that result in actionable insights and in-depth knowledge of different types of cost and how they are influenced.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesCreate maintain and improve process for long-term forecasting of new engine cost. Support FP&A processes from an engine cost perspective and work with Tech & Ops organization and CES FP&A to ensure alignment across the organization. Own CMC Nozzle scrap allocation process ensuring compliance and accuracy.Independently perform analytics to identify opportunities and risk. Finding new ways to look at data then use the findings to drive action. Run analytics to compare 9X to other programs to gain insight and ensure reasonableness. Influence and drive all cost pools in the product line inclusive of non-engine costs where applicable.Partner with operations to support financial fleet model updates for Services cost perform analytics assess risk and make recommendations. Lead team to better connect engineering investment to returns help advocate for investments that best achieve near- and long- term goalsLead business case valuation for strategic cost actionsEnsure consistency in cost reporting evaluation definitions and overall process across GEAPartner with operations to ensure top projects are properly valued. Perform validation upon completion and drive holistic improvement based on findings.Potential to expand into Shop Visit cost support when EIS approachesPotential for inventory and P&E support for cost related drivers and improvements.Required QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum 6 years of experience in Accounting or FinancePrior experience with manufacturing cost accounting and reporting preferredDesired CharacteristicsAbility to partner with operating leaders and influence cross-functionallyResourceful ability to build relationships across the organization to get things done Open-minded and embraces change and challenges Perform role with mindset for continuous improvement using lean methodologiesAnalytical organized curious strong communication skillsAdditional InformationGE Aerospace offers a great work environment professional development challenging careers and competitive compensation.
