Position SummaryTheGeotechwill be responsible for data and project management associated with the geoscience addition the candidate will collaborate across disciplines to ensure data integration throughout the organization. The position is directly responsible for data quality control managing databases support of GIS mapping and analysis and delivery of files reports and analysis to support technical work within the geoscience team as well as supporting daily oil & gas operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding technical support and implementing best workflow practices for geoscientists that generate high-grade and drill oil and gas opportunitiesCreating and managing well and seismic projects and ensuring geoscience staff are accessing current and accurate dataImporting/Exporting and quality control of seismic well and culture data to and from various applications; syncing data across projects and systemsProviding GIS software application support assisting teams with generating maps and managing and visualizing spatial dataKeeps supervisor informed of progress and may recommend procedural/operational changesEstablishes and maintains highly confidential record files for reference useOrders logs and other recordsInteraction with operations to collect and archive all final well dataAccumulates and analyzes data for reports makes log cross sectionsTransfers and loads digital log and map dataMakes computations and calculations to assist geologists in their analysisAssists geologists in the preparation of various reports plans and budgetsEnsures timely completion and accuracy of assigned projectsQualificationsRequired Education Experience LicensureBachelors Degree5-10 Years oil & gas or related industry experienceExperience with Petra and Kingdom software packagesProficiency with O&G data sources like IHS Enverus and TGSFamiliarity with public data sources including state and federal dataProficiency with Microsoft Teams Excel Word and PowerPointPossess valid drivers license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Companys Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehiclePreferred Education Experience LicensureB.S./B.A. Degree in math science or related fieldExperience with an E&P Company engaged in unconventional resource developmentProficiency in project and database managementGIS knowledge and experience specifically QGIS softwareOil & gas data analysis and interpretationFamiliarity with Spotfire and/or Power BIDevelopment planning and/or operations experience is a plusRequired Core Competencies Knowledge Skills AbilitiesWell-developed analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to research informationStrong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracyStrong computer skills and technology skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written oral or diagram formAbility to identify issues troubleshoot and develop solutionsExcellent interpersonal presentation verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate high ethical and professional behaviorAble to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities tasks and deadlinesAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and foster and encourage teamworkAble to recognize and apply safety processes and proceduresCrescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
