As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the CIB Payments, Merchant Services, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.Job responsibilitiesEngages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needsDefines the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategyParticipates in architecture governance bodiesEvaluates recommendations and provides feedback on new technologiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills8+ years hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityPractical cloud native experienceLeverages enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning across the product family, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive dataAdvanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplinesAbility to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architectureStrong technical background with design and delivery experience with software patterns and principlesStrategic mindset in acquiring payments business -includes value added services for optimizing payments, risk, vault, token and other protection payments solutions like encryption, 3DS Experience with in-store or eCommerce merchant paymentsDemonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivityAbility to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirementsEstablishes reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across SDLC/toolchain practices, ensuring traceability/auditability, resiliency, and security controlsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsAbility to understand business requirements, create design, create technical delivery roadmap and technical know how'sDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Experience as a functional architect (business / product)Experience with domain model, understands business process flow, client experience and use casesUnderstands business capability, features taxonomyStrong communication and leadership presencePoint of Sale experience is a plusDevice / Estatement management experience is a plus
