The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to selectstudents with high potential and provide them with real world work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the companys products processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilateacquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical addition Nexteer Automotive gains theopportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.Job Description:This position will allow the Student to assist in the laboratory environment. Position will include performing various validation activities during various stages of a Product Launch. The Student will have the opportunity to interact with various Program customer this position the Student will aid the validation group on performing tests and other miscellaneous tasks.Primary Job Responsibilities:Assist technicians with test setupsPerform test activities per specifications providedPost process test results and write reportsStorage organization of componentsTransporting of test parts from lab to lab and to various suppliersStudent may be asked to complete other miscellaneous tasks as they arise.Primary Skill Requirements:Candidate must be attending a 4-year university local to SaginawCandidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in EngineeringElectrical / Mechanical Degree program preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities and tasksOral and written communication skillsInterpersonal skills to work effectively with othersBasic trouble shooting skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint is preferredCandidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semestersUp to 40 in the summerMust have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scaleMust be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semestersCandidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorshipNexteer is an Equal Opportunity Employer Disabled/Minorities/Veterans/WomenNexteer is an E-Verify employer.
