Job Description SummaryThe Sr. Mechanical Reliability Engineer plays a key role in implementing Reliability strategy at the Huntsville Site. This role reports to the Site Facilities Engineering Manager in a new PSM-covered plant and will facilitate RCM studies to develop and implement asset strategies to increase equipment availability and drive OEE improvement. The Sr. Mechanical Reliability Engineer will support production maintenance and capital projects while acting as a mentor and subject matter expert for Reliability processes. Practical knowledge of reliability processes (RCFA FMEA LCCA) and predictive technologies (ultrasound vibration analysis thermography).Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesLead sustainable RCM implementation across the site and own reliability strategy deployment to meet or exceed compliance requirementsEvaluate and apply PdM technologiesPareto equipment performance issues to prioritize work activities and resourcesDevelop PM work procedures to be used by maintenance techniciansSupport MOC activities from a Reliability perspectiveEffectively communicate to Operations Maintenance and Engineering teams regarding reliability strategies plant strategies/performance measures and asset objectives/goalsLead and/or Participate on RCFA investigations and FMEA teamsProvide troubleshooting and assistance for unusual or persistent problemsWork with Capital Project Engineering to define specifications and reliability/maintainability standards for new equipmentCollect and analyze reliability data maintenance costs and failure data to identify trends and opportunities for improvementActively coach others to facilitate learning and understanding to avoid repeat failures and eventsWork with the Reliability Specialists and Maintenance Technicians to address deviations in equipment performanceRequired QualificationsBachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Reliability experience in a chemical manufacturing site experience minimum of 5 years Reliability experience in a chemical manufacturing site experienceDesired CharacteristicsPractical knowledge of reliability processes (RCFA FMEA LCCA) and predictive technologies (ultrasound vibration analysis thermography)Ability and willingness to work off shift as required.Ability to assume additional responsibilities as required.Minimum 10-15 years of Reliability experience in a chemical manufacturing siteExperience with CMMS and Maintenance processesHumble: respectful receptive agile eager to learnTransparent: shares critical information speaks with candor contributesconstructivelyFocused: quick learner strategically prioritizes work committed Leadership through influence ability: strong communicator decision-maker collaborativeProblem solver: analytical-minded challenges existing processes critical thinkerCMRP or CRL CertificationGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and along with programs like HealthAhead your physical emotional financial and social wellbeing.
