Sr. Mechanical Space Hardware Engineer- DFM & TEST- Thermal, Vacuum at Associates Systems

Come join our growing team of enterprising engineers paving a way to the next frontier of space transportation.This is a full time opportunity with a host of benefits.All qualified resumes will be responded to in 24hrs or less.Due to the nature of this work candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.Senior Mechanical Engineer will participate in the mechanical structural and thermal design of flight spacecraft and will follow programs through execution of assembly integration and test.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical design of spacecraft components utilizing Solidworks: primary structure brackets e/m enclosures wire harness. Experience with design and layout propellant feed system and thrusters a big plus.Work with structural analysts to ensure structural integrity of the spacecraft and all components during all phases of launch.Work with thermal analysts to ensure all components are maintained- Experience designing and executingmechanical testing of systems and components including vibration testing static load testing and shock testing.Required Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated experience with detail design of mechanical hardware.Experience defining requirements for mechanical systems and components.Familiarity with the space environment and how it affects mechanical hardware.Familiarity with material selection and material coatings for space applications.General understanding of spacecraft structural loads (quasi-static loads random vibration shock thermo-mechanical)#CJRequired Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Arm,Electrical Engineering,SOC,System Design,Firmware,C/C++,PCB,Sensors,Fpga,Digital design,Assembly,Product Development Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
