Write code for mobile and web-based applications create robust high-volume production applications and develop prototypes. Research analyze design develop and test application solutions that are appropriate for eBays business and technology strategies. Participate in design discussions code reviews and project related team meetings. Work with other engineers Architecture Product Management and Operations teams to develop innovative application solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality performance scalability reliability realistic implementation schedules and adherence to development principles and quality goals. Own major projects and features from the design phase to coding testing deployment and support. Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-geography teams to deliver results. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered as a software engineer or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements:1. Java/J2EE SOAP SOA Services Design Patterns Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/D) Data Structures XML REST JSON and Internet Protocols.2. Java data structures algorithms and understanding of multithreading synchronization and concurrent programming.3. Relational databases (Oracle) and/or NoSQL data technologies (Mongo Cassandra Couchbase) and related toolsets.4. Lua scripting Freemarker language and experience with front-end technologies such as ReactJS and Angular.5. Tableau for data visualization and reporting.6. Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.7. Scripting languages such as Shell script Python and Ruby for automating tasks and enhancing application functionality.8. Containerization technologies such as Docker Kubernetes or similar platforms for deploying and managing applications in a containerized environment.9. Integrating vendor applications like Address Doctor into existing systems. Address Doctor for address normalization and validation and the ability to work with its APIs for seamless integration10. collaboration skills and the ability to influence a cross-functional team to deliver results.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience.
