Ideal candidates will have a passion for continuous improvement and supporting the growth and development of the team.A Day in the Life:Responsibility for the daily distribution activities productivity and quality within the 4X10A assembly/manufacturing team.Provide leadership and assistance with the daily operation of the department to meet all daily objectives.Assist employees with exceptions and problem resolution to ensure accuracy within the department.Coordinate with Supervisor to ensure that staffing levels are appropriate to meet department goals.Organize and direct workflow for the department when supervisor is unavailableProvide instructions about standard operating procedures customer quality requirements and help in resolving problems.Train temporary employees and new hires.Assist the supervisor in maintaining a safe injury-free work environment.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience:Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing operations production lab setting or related fieldPreferred: Experience in a cGMP environmentKnowledge Skills Abilities:Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detailDesire to work within a team but also able to work independently and solve problems quicklyAbility to read and write in EnglishAbility to lift carry and push up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for extended periods of time and move about the operations environment (involving walking stooping bending and reaching) requiredWhat We OfferCompensationCompetitive Hourly Pay RateAdditional shift differential for 2nd shift and 3rd shift positionsAnnual performance-based bonusAnnual merit performance-based increaseExcellent BenefitsBenefits & Total Rewards Thermo Fisher ScientificMedical Dental & Vision benefits-effective Day 1Paid Time Off & Designated Paid HolidaysRetirement Savings PlanTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusCareer Advancement OpportunitiesCompensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $17.85$23.80.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
