Location: Glen Cove NY (On-Site)Employment Type: Full-TimeDepartment: Manufacturing OperationsPosition SummaryAs a Procurement Specialist youll play a vital role in sourcing components managing supplier relationships placing and tracking POs and ensuring timely delivery of critical shipments. Youll work closely with the Production Hardware Sales and Finance teams to support prototype builds and production demand plans. This is a fast-paced hands-on role for someone who thrives in startup environments and knows how to get things done.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and evaluate new and existing suppliers for quality cost and reliabilityRequest and negotiate quotes for custom and off-the-shelf componentsCreate manage and track purchase ordersMonitor delivery schedules and manage domestic and international shipmentsCoordinate shipping with forwarders carriers and customs brokersMaintain clear and professional communication with vendors via emailCollaborate with other departments to align purchasing with internal needsIdentify opportunities to improve lead times reduce cost and streamline workflowsPreferred Experience & SkillsDemonstrated commitment to ethics integrity and confidentialityExperience purchasing CNC machining PCBs welded and electrical componentsFamiliarity with international logistics including lead times customs and freight trackingConfidence in supplier negotiation to secure favorable pricing terms and deliveryProficiency in Google Sheets for tracking and analysisComfortable with processing invoices and basic APExceptional organizational skills and management of competing prioritiesStrong written communication with suppliers and internal teamsComfortable operating independently and juggling priorities in a startup environmentBachelors degree or equivalent experienceA Little Bit More About The PositionWere looking for someone based on Long Island or the NYC area who can be on-site at our Glen Cove NY factory to check inventory get a feel for real-time operational needs and build in-person rapport with the team.This role requires someone with strong emotional intelligence a clear communicator who can negotiate strategically while building long-term partnerships. Youll be working cross-functionally with teams in Production Hardware Sales and Accounting so professionalism flexibility and interpersonal skills are a must. We dont tolerate ego or drama just smart humble people who are eager to solve problems.This role exists within a rapidly growing startup environment where flexibility is essential. We are looking for an individual who can take initiative and contribute to building scalable systems from the ground up. Prior experience with ERP or MRP platforms and the ability to support their development or refinement is highly desirable. We are open to a variety of seniority levels for this role and will build compensation packages that are commensurate with seniority and skill level. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options.
