Reporting to the SVP of Programs the Sr Program Manager will work within a multidisciplinary team to manage the execution of customer contracts. The candidate will be accountable for delivering highly reliable space systems to Government and Commercial customers. The Sr Program Manager owns the customer relationship organizes internal engineering manages external suppliers & manufacturing and tests activities. A successful Sr Program Manager executes on-time on-budget delivery of their projects. The end goal of every Sr Program Manager is to deliver affordable high-performance space systems at an escalated pace.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain project schedules risk analysis procurement plans subcontract management plans project staffing plans and budget (direct costs subcontracts travel etc.)Participate in customer meetings to define and refine requirementsReport program updates regularly to the executive team and our customersTrack all internal and external deliverables prepare and present formal and informal design and progress reviewsGenerate proposals/ scope of work based on customer requirementsWork closely with members of their program team technical peer teams and program controllers to ensure our systems meet all requirements and achieve all milestones while staying within strict budgetary constraintsRequirementsBachelors Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences10 years of experience as a project lead or project manager with a demonstrated reputation for delivering unique high-complexity systems leading military/defense aerospace/spacecraft programsProven ability to deliver on time and on-budgetExperience with rapid development projectsAbility to define and utilize metrics develop program schedules and control budgets to manage program activitiesDemonstrated teamwork and written/oral communications skillsAbility to communicate across organizational boundaries and levelsDemonstrated employee management experience and proficiency in task managementAbility to help organize and manage a team of personnel develop program schedules and control budgets to meet required deadlinesMeticulous attention to detailPer the requirement of certain Terran Orbital facilities the applicant must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance and all special accesses required to work at such facilitiesAdditional DifferentiatorsMasters Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences or Business Administration5 years of experience as a responsible Systems Engineer on spaceflight projectsExperience with government customers and their project management practicesConcept-to-launch experience with one or more satellite missionsExperience with cost and budget-constrained programsAn active TS/SCI Security ClearanceExperience with aerospace environments (other than traditional large prime contractors)Understanding of satellites space sensors and ground systems used for space assetsYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification knowledge skills education and addition to base salary we offer 100% covered medical dental and vision coverage a 401(k) match Flexible Time Off (FTO) covered life insurance maternity and paternity leave tuition reimbursement employee referrals and lots of swag!Salary Range$170000 - $220000 USDBenefits100% Company-paid comprehensive medical dental and vision coverage for you and your dependents401(k) MatchFlexible Time Off (FTO)Education ReimbursementCompetitive Paid Parental LeaveAbout Terran OrbitalTerran Orbital is a leading manufacturer of satellite products primarily serving the aerospace and defense industries.
