The team is closely partnered with many business executives and functional teams across all aspects of Invescos IDS business using Agile delivery methods and collaboration to provide automated and innovative solutions.About the Role:As an agile project manager you will be responsible for planning organizing and motivating project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value. The agile project manager is also responsible for managing several concurrent IT projects using agile and/or waterfall methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions. This position may play different roles in actual practice:Leading and managing large complex enterprise-level projects consisting of cross-regional IT teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the IT teamAt a team level playing a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people process and tools and coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project teamIn situations that require a hybrid Agile approach using good judgment and skill to develop a project management approach that is suitable for planning and managing the effort to achieve the project goals within designated project constraintsIn performing these roles the agile project manager will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach in the right proportions to fit large complex mission-critical enterprise-level projects and with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.Responsibilities of the Role:Agile Pipeline and Scrum ManagementSchedule and facilitate all Scrum eventsAssist team members with the creation and tracking of Features Epics and User storiesCollaborate with Product Owner and business partners to gather new requirements and featuresWork with vendors and third-party business partners to ensure alignment on capability perform required upgrades and system integration when requiredWork with product owners and product managers to ensure backlogs are prioritized and ready for the next sprintFacilitate technical discussions with Architects and Developers to resolve technical challenges the team encountersActs as safeguard for the team by improving transparency and removing impedimentsEnsure escalation of unresolved issues to proper personnelPlanning and execution of changes incidents production processes controls and service requestsProject Planning and ManagementDefine project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetingsPrepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projectsTeam Management Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments removing roadblocks to their workRequirements for the Role:Experience leading large technology projects requiredExperience working in an agile scrum environment requiredFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) requiredKnowledge of Agile and Scrum framework requiredExperience working with remote teamsExperience with workflow and automation tools like Appian and Blue Prism preferredExperience within the investments industry preferredExperience creating detailed cost / benefit analysis preferredExperience with Python Java script preferredExperience with SQL Server preferredTechnology literate with good knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products including Visio and OfficeKnowledge of process documentation and testing toolsExperience with business intelligence reporting tools preferred (PowerBI Tableau)Broad basic knowledge of the systems and business processes in use for the Front- Mid- and Back-office functions within Investment OperationsUnderstanding of Investments data and market data supporting investment processes.A basic understanding of Equity Fixed Income and basic Derivative instruments used the financial services preferred.Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:Excellent verbal and written skills (to include process flowcharting and formal business solutions documents)Able to work in a global multicultural environmentAble to influence and build relationships at all levels of staffMust demonstrate a strong customer focused attitude and understand the fundamentals of customer serviceExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to manage conflict wellStructured disciplined approach to work with attention to detailGood inter-personal skills combined with willingness to listenAbility to analyze requirements and problems and to propose innovative but workable solutionsDisciplined time management skillsFlexible able to meet changing requirements and prioritiesSelf motivated.
