Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryThe Plastics QC Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products produced within the facility meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, coordinating with suppliers and customers when issues arise, as well as investigating and implementing countermeasures to control quality issues.Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Assist and lead in development of New Car Project department projectsWork directly with CKD suppliers to improve part Quality and reliabilityEvaluate and maintain production samples for conformance to specificationsAssist in development of work standards for the Plastics plantEnsure that Quality operations supporting clinical product release are efficient, effective, and meet target timeframes from both a compliance and business perspectiveAct as Quality representative for suppliers and customers as requiredWork with production to solve customer/product issues through in-depth analysis using QC toolsPerform immediate measures for control and containment of quality issuesMaintain all test and production equipment and/or calibration of such equipmentLead and assist in quality investigations including product complaint follow-upParticipate in site or global projects and improvement efforts, as neededAssemble and prepare production samples for required testing at customer siteProcess product rejections and perform rework as neededCollect and evaluate process data regarding product rejects in order to formulate innovative solutionsPrompt, regular, predictable attendancePhysical presence at work during all scheduled work hoursOvertime and weekend work as requiredAll other job duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.) Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood Presentation skillsGood Analytical skillsAbility to break down and inspect mechanical systemsPreferred Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fieldAutomotive manufacturing experienceKnowledge of SAP systemKnowledge of 5-Panel problem solving methodologiesProcess auditing and data management skillsWorking ConditionsThis position works approximately 50% at Mobis, 50% at the Hyundai OEM plant in Montgomery, ALWork at OEM takes place approximately 70% indoors, 30% outdoorsWork at Mobis takes place approximately 50% in office, 50% on production floorOccasionally lifting 30-50 lbs.Domestic and international travel as neededCompany DescriptionWho is Hyundai MOBIS?Hyundai MOBIS forms the parts and service arm for South Korean automakers Hyundai Motor Company, Genesis Motors, and Kia Motors.
