The primary mission of the Sr. Quality Engineer is to continuously improve safety quality business and manufacturing processes with an emphasis on eliminating process waste. The use of structured quality improvement tools is required. The Sr. Quality Engineer will design new processes and re-engineer existing processes to produce outcomes that meet safety quality and business expectations.YOUR IMPACTSupport housekeeping and safety.Facilitate and train employee teams in process improvement techniquesAssist in the identification and implementation of six-sigma projectsLead teams in applying the six sigma DMAIC methodology to eliminate wasteApply basic process improvement tools within the six sigma DMAIC improvement modelMeasurement Systems Analysis (MSA)Mentor and train Associate Engineers and Quality EngineersLead customer interactionsDesign and improve process inputs to gain desired outcomeImprove processes to reduce common cause variability and eliminate special causeEstablish control plans to prevent process backsliding for consolidation of gainsPerform process capability studies internally and externallyAnalyze process constraints and develop standards to overcome constraints Revise procedures for process improvementInvestigate/analyze and benchmark industry practices for process validation assessmentsImplement effective corrective and preventative actions utilizing structured planning methodsCoordinate and work cross-functionally with Employee Teams Quality Engineering Contracts Sales and Manufacturing to improve processesMust proactively plan and execute plans in accordance with established time constraintsMinimal travel as required.Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/educational courses as requiredAccurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and proceduresMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree3 plus years related work experienceMust interpret basic technical drawings including characteristics such as views title blocks dimensioning GD&T symbols etc. Interpret specification requirements in relation to product and process characteristicsAdvanced training/experience in the use of statistical techniques and process improvement methodsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Six sigma certification & CQECertification and/or customer audit experiencePay Range:$72200.00 - $116200.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
