The project will involve changes to physical layouts and work practices. Cross functional engagement will be required to define a holistic solution.Project Outcomes:Waste elimination from the diaphragm value stream resulting in shorter lead times. Standard work for the new process to ensure sustainability.Primary Skills Developed:Project management Lean tools and techniques Steam turbine technology Problem solving/critical thinking.Basic Qualifications:Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Engineering major (Mechanical Industrial Aerospace Materials).Minimum 4.0 out of 5.0 GPA.Desired Qualifications:Previous lean knowledge/experience.Previous project management experience.Familiarity with welding and machining.Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.Strong communication skills.Action oriented.Benefits Available to you: Addressing the climate crisis is an urgent global priority and at GE Vernova we take our responsibility seriously.
