OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in .NET, Cloud technologies, and Azure AI services to join our innovative team. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer passionate about building scalable, cloud-first solutions and leveraging Generative AI to transform business processes. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining full stack applications hosted on both on-prem and cloud platforms, as well as collaborating with team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement full-stack solutions using .NET, Azure, and modern cloud-native patterns.Integrate Azure AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry) into enterprise applications.Ensure application performance, security, and reliability; resolve complex technical challenges.Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality features.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.Keep up with emerging technologies and best practices in Cloud, AI, and DevOps. Qualifications5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applicationsHands-on experience with Azure AI services (e.g. Azure Open AI, Azure Foundry) Strong proficiency in C# .NET, API design, and developmentExperience in Azure Cloud (e.g., Container Apps, API Management, App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, SQL MI)Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and leadership skillsBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferredExperience working on agile teams and release trains, and knowledge of SAFe, is preferredExperience in Angular and SQL is a plusProperty Casualty Insurance experience is a plus Total RewardsSelective Insurance offers a total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, incentive plan eligibility at all levels, and a wide array of benefits designed to help you and your family stay healthy, achieve your financial goals, and balance the demands of your work and personal life.
