We design and manufacture the worlds leading industrial and IT enclosures racks and accessories including high-efficiency high-density power management and climate control systems for industrial data center outdoor and hybrid applications.Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures that all purchased materials and components meet company and customer quality standards. Acting as the primary liaison between Rittal and global suppliers this role drives proactive quality planning issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.Why Work at Rittal:Above-average benefits available on the 1st of the month after you start401K MatchOpportunities for professional development and certificationsCollaborative innovative work environmentKey Responsibilities:Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) and validate supplier documentationPerform supplier/vendor audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and internal standardsEvaluate supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actionsLead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for supplier-related issuesCollaborate with suppliers to resolve product quality concerns and prevent recurrenceSupport receiving inspection and quality control teams with technical guidanceMaintain accurate records of supplier quality activities and audit findingsAct as primary point of contact for all supplier quality mattersDrive supplier qualification approval and ongoing compliance processesFacilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering purchasing and production teamsSupport new product introduction (NPI) by validating supplier readiness and capabilityTravel as needed for audits and corrective actionsQualifications:Education:Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality or related fieldOR Associate degree and 24 years related experienceOR 58 years related experience in manufacturing quality role (preferably power or IT infrastructure sectors)Experience & Skills:Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality tools (FMEA 8D SPC PPAP)Experience with global suppliers and cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations (ISO 9001/AS9100)Preferred: machining metalworking or assembly experienceCertifications such as CQE CSQP Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or Lead Auditor (preferred)Core Competencies:Technical knowledge of quality engineering principlesAnalytical skills for root cause analysis and data interpretationExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong problem-solving and auditing capabilitiesProficiency in MS Office ERP systems and quality management softwareLeadership ability to guide suppliers and internal teamsIf you require reasonable accommodation for any part of the application or hiring process due to a disability you may contact the companys Human Resources Department at .This option is reserved for individuals who require accommodation due to a disability.Rittal LLC and Eplan are proud to be an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
