Position: Senior Tax Accountant
Department: Finance
Work Location(s): Plano, TX or El Paso, TX (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.
What you'll be doing:
- Participate in tax compliance, audit management, and tax planning in a multi-national and multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Review federal, state, and international tax returns prepared by third parties and prepare other tax filings completed in-house.
- Participate in the quarterly and year-end tax provisions and tax account balance reconciliations of the international subsidiaries.
- Maintain tax depreciation, control logs of deliverables, and compliance requirements (transaction, property and/or income taxes, and other informational reporting).
- Participate in the income tax concepts of non-US subsidiaries in tax examination inquiries.
- Research sophisticated federal, state, and international tax issues across a broad range of taxes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in relevant fields: accounting, business administration, economics, finance.
- 4+ years of tax experience.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Suite; especially MS Excel (intermediate to advanced).
- Experience in multinational and sophisticated structures, and fast-paced environments.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA license.
- Oracle, Hyperion, Workiva Track Record.
- Experience in international tax concepts, inbound, outbound, and non-US.
- Experience in the consumer products industry.
