You can read more about our AI interview philosophy and how we use AI in our recruiting process here.The Team: Technical Program Managers at Pinterest deliver critical & strategic outcomes by directing and scaling engineering effort across organizational and functional boundaries. This role will partner closely with the Pinner Notifications organization within our Core Engineering & Product team. This team is responsible for all aspects of notifications that get sent to Pinners, from the copy and the content, to the in-product experience and landing page, to the delivery and platform optimizations. You will step into a cross-functional leadership position alongside Engineering and Product leads, identify areas that can be optimized, remove blockers, and implement solutions to unlock velocity of projects and programs that directly impact top-line company metrics.What you’ll do:Proactively identify and drive key strategic explorationsTranslate strategic ideas into execution plans, and be accountable to drive them to completionDrive complex technical decisions across multiple teamsBe a thought leader to your XFN stakeholders by influencing and collaborating on product roadmapsWork cross functionally with engineering, product, design, data analytics, and product marketing to turn ambiguous opportunities into actionable outcomesDefine new processes from the ground up to streamline collaboration between stakeholdersInfluence teams and build relationships with key stakeholders across disciplines and organizationsBuild effective and transparent communication channels to adaptively communicate schedules, priorities, status and risk to various functional stakeholders at all levels of the companyUse AI to turn ambiguous, cross-functional inputs into crisp execution artifacts (charters, milestones, DRIs, launch readiness checklists, decision docs, exec-ready status) to keep the Notifications portfolio moving fast while maintaining quality and compliance  Leverage AI to accelerate operating cadence and incident response (synthesize metric/experiment readouts, summarize investigations/retros, draft comms and action plans), then validate with data and stakeholders before driving decisions and follow-through  What we’re looking for:5+ years of experience as a technical program manager, or related experienceEntrepreneurial spirit with strong leadership, able to develop and lead a new initiative from the ground up and thrive in ambiguityPassion for execution and getting things doneSolid technical background and ability to quickly understand technical designs, challenges and risks. Experience breaking down complex problems and driving decision makingStrong analytical abilities, able to create & monitor metrics, proactively identify growth opportunities & incidentsStrong written, verbal communication skills and comfort in communicating nuanced, and often technical, concepts to internal stakeholders or external partnersAbility to influence teams & drive alignment among multiple stakeholdersDemonstrated experience in creating and driving efficient processes at scaleExperience using AI tools to improve TPM throughput and clarity at scale (multi-team programs, many stakeholders), including dependency/risk identification, structured tradeoff framing, and high-signal stakeholder communicationsDemonstrated judgment using AI in high-stakes + fast-moving environments (growth regressions, incidents, policy/compliance escalations) where outputs must be verified, and where you can influence partners to adopt repeatable, AI-enabled mechanisms (templates, playbooks, process hygiene)Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experienceIn-Office Requirement Statement:We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments.
