With over a century of excellence Bolthouse Fresh products are available at major retailers across North America.Bolthouse Fresh Foods has approximately 1600 employees.WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLEThe Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the month-end close process. This role focuses on general ledger accounting account reconciliations and ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedulesPrepare and post journal entries for monthly quarterly and annual close processesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and completenessPerform detailed analysis and variance explanations for balance sheet and income statement accountsSupport accruals prepayments and other adjusting entries during closeSupport Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with reconciliation and data analysisMonitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesAssist with audits by providing documentation and explanationsCollaborate with other departments to obtain necessary information for accurate reportingIdentify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracyPerforms other duties as assignedWHAT WERE LOOKING FORRequired Skills and Abilities:Strong general ledger and accounting knowledgeAttention to detail and organizational skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication skills and the ability to work independently and meet deadlinesExperience with automated close tools and ERP systemsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business required1-3 years of accounting experience preferably in general ledger and month-end closeProficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite) and ExcelStrong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principlesValid Driver License and clean driving recordPreferred Qualifications:CPA or CMA certificationAgriculture accounting a plusExperience with JD Edwards ERP systemPhysical Demands:Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with frequent interruptions.Ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop bend climb kneel crouch reach and twist.Lift carry push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 40 lbs.Operate office equipment requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.Ability to stand for long periods of time in an upright position walking on both even and uneven surfacesAbility to stoop crouch and kneel on a regular basisHours & Workdays:8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday onsite when business requires before/after hours will be mandatoryEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYBolthouse Fresh Foods is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
