Staff Android Engineer at Experian

Experian Consumer Services is looking for an experienced and collaborative Staff Android Engineer to help evolve our flagship Android native application. Youll contribute to feature development code quality and user experience enhancements. This is a fully remote role (US) reporting to a Software Engineering Manager.Youll have opportunity to:App Development:Contribute to the development of Experians flagship Android native application.Implement new features and enhance existing ones based on our requirements.Code Quality:Write efficient clean and maintainable code using Java and Kotlin.Experience reviewing code to find and address potential issues and defects code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Ensure code quality through automated testing and continuous integration.Collaboration:Work with teams including product managers designers and other developers to define app specifications and requirements.Integrate APIs and third-party libraries to enhance app functionality.Problem Solving:Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth app performance.Resolve performance and scalability issues.User Experience:Implement user interfaces that align with design guidelines and provide a consistent user experience.Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with the latest trends best practices and latest technologies in the Android ecosystem.Improve development practices.Leadership:Mentor junior developers encouraging their technical and professional growth.Represent the teams work and achievements to senior management and other departments.Qualifications : Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field such as Engineering8 years professional experience in Android development with experience in designing developing and maintaining complex Android applicationsExpertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose with proficiency in Java and Android SDK and Android StudioExperience working with REST APIs and third-party libraries; GraphQL knowledgeExperience leading junior developersAdditional Information : Benefits/Perks:Great compensation package and bonus planCore benefits including medical dental vision and matching 401KFlexible work environment ability to work remote hybrid or in-officeFlexible time off including volunteer time off vacation sick and 12-paid holidaysExplore all our exciting benefits here: Experian our people and culture set us apart. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills experience and education.
