We strive to optimize environmental resiliency in a way that effectively complements our clients decision-making and operations and efficiently fulfills their project requirements.We have over 135 offices across the United States Canada Europe and Australia and are approaching 3500 employees all ready to provide solutions for environmental needs.A DAY IN THE LIFEOur Staff Civil/Environmental Engineer position is located in Nashville TN.As the successful candidate you will work with a diverse team of design professionals on a variety of permitting construction surveys mapping and related projects providing design and drafting support for project delivery. The ideal candidate will be proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Experience with GIS would be an asset.Work on multiple projects simultaneously including providing support to the senior technical lead on projectsProducing plan profile cross-section and detailed drawings for projects related to remediation environmental construction and civil infrastructure.Preparing and editing drawing/map products including contouring digitizing editing and data management.Communicates to leadership when potential issues are foreseen or potential issues arise that may inhibit performing tasks within the allotted schedule and budgetExercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations including attendance at all required safety training programsParticipate in the companys continuous improvement programs and provide support to team effortsKeep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training reviewing professional publications and attending professional workshopsPerform other duties as assignedLocal travel between 30% to 50%Specific Project Related Responsibilities will include:Prepare permit documents construction plans and specifications for facilities including landfills recycling facilities transfer stations and convenience centersPrepare Part B Permit Application Documents and associated permit documents for Industrial FacilitiesPrepare permit documents construction plans and specifications for remedial actions related to Voluntary RCRA and CERCLA clean-up actionsPrepare SWPPPs SPCC Plans and ARAP ApplicationsPrepare construction cost estimates and financial assurance estimatesConduct Phase I and II Environmental Site AssessmentsWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU As a key member of our Montrose team you can expect:Competitive compensation package: annual salary ranging from $55k to $95k commensurate with accomplishments performance credentials and geographyCompetitive medical dental and vision insurance coverage401k with a competitive 4% employer matchMentorship and professional development resources to advance your careerDirect exposure to our industrys leading experts who are solving the worlds toughest environmental challengesAn entrepreneurial environment where you can learn thrive and collaborate with talented colleaguesOpportunities to engage and contribute to our Diversity Fairness and Inclusion and Women Empowering Leadership employee resource groupsProgressive vacation policies company holidays and paid parental leave benefits to ensure work/life balanceA financial assistance program that supports peers in need known as the Montrose FoundationAccess to attractive student loan rates to optimize your student loan payoff plansYOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required:Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related fields from an accredited four-year college or university.One to four years of relevant experience preferred.Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and the ability to complete design drafting work with minimal supervision.Experience working with civil infrastructure.EIT license - preferredAdvanced knowledge of engineering principlesAbility to complete and maintain HAZWOPER certification with the 40-hour HAZWOPER environmental health and safety class and annual 8-hour refresher classStrong written and verbal communication skillsOutgoing / team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesStrong organizational skillsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
