Our team is committed to integrity, quality, and excellence, and we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Provide structural design, inspection, and engineering support across a range of projectsAssist in the development of design plans, including H&H reports, waterway permits, and TS&L submissionsLead the design and analysis of various structural systems in compliance with applicable codes and standardsMentor junior staff and offer technical guidance to support their growth and developmentPrepare and review detailed drawings, calculations, and technical specificationsPerform field inspections to evaluate existing structures, identify deficiencies, and recommend remediation strategiesParticipate in client meetings and clearly communicate technical concepts and recommendationsManage and coordinate multiple projects while adhering to schedules, budgets, and quality expectationsTrack time accurately using weekly timesheets and maintain billable hour targetsSupport internal departments with structural design services as neededContribute to company-wide initiatives and help foster a collaborative and high-performance cultureParticipate in cross-departmental design efforts and assist with projects led by other teamsRepresent Mackin at industry conferences, committee meetings, or subcommitteesSupport research and development efforts to explore innovative engineering practicesCommunicate project or operational developments that may impact schedules, costs, or client satisfactionWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:Bachelors or Associate's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA (WV, OH, and/or MD are a plus) or the ability to obtain it within six months is preferred.PennDOTs Bridge Safety Inspector Certification, NHI - Tunnel Safety Inspection Certification, NHI - Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges Certification, Bridge Scour Evaluation Training.Knowledge of PennDOT Programs/Systems, Design Manuals, and PublicationsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office, MicroStation (preferred, not required) and AutoCAD (optional)Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.WHAT WE OFFER:Competitive salary based on experienceOn-the-job training with experienced engineersCareer growth opportunities in a collaborative environmentComprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysEducational assistance and professional development opportunitiesEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER:Mackin Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
