Our entire team is driven by a shared commitment to transforming the landscape of critical care through our rapid seizure detection technology come join the movement!Position Overview:We are seeking a Staff Firmware Engineer who is passionate about biomedical applications and who has experience in the development of embedded or IoT products. The successful candidate will join the R&D team and will play a key role in the development of the next generation of Ceribells life-saving technologies. Our firmware development stack is based around a STMicroelectronics STM32 ARM Cortex microcontroller and we use FreeRTOS and the TouchGFX framework. You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional R&D team but you must also be able to take individual ownership of development testing and documentation of your projects. Experience in embedded Linux medical devices and Qt UI framework is highly desired.What youll do:Develop and test firmware features for Ceribells EEG systemsUnderstand user needs and translate them to the development of new and improved featuresParticipate in code reviews peer reviews and risk management activitiesCreate and revise technical documentationProvide input on firmware and hardware architecture for new and existing productsTest and validate firmware and systems to meet performance requirements.Monitor and troubleshoot existing firmware and systemsStay current on emerging technologies and trendsProvide technical support and guidance to other team membersMonitor production and development timelines to ensure projects are completed on timeWhat Were Looking For:Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering computer science biomedical engineering or related field. Graduate degree preferred.5 years of experience in firmware development of a commercial productProficient in C/C and experienced with firmware development on ARM based systems.Experience with STM32 microcontrollers microcontrollersDirect experience with development of WiFi connected / IoT devices preferredStrong analytical skills detail-oriented and collaborativeProficiency with version control debugging and other software development toolsAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team membersStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsCompensation Range$175000 - $200000 USDA candidates final salary offer will be based on their skills education work location and experience and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribells corporate compensation plan.
