Be loyal to your team and Nimbles mission.About the Role:Were looking for an experienced Staff Manufacturing Development Engineer that is an expert at scaling complex products from Pilot production to high volume. This person will be responsible for refining manufacturing processes & systems and driving product design DFM.This role will be directly responsible for designing electro-mechanical assembly processes & fixtures and implementing manufacturing controls to ensure delivery of the highest quality product.Join us in scaling the manufacturing of some of the worlds most advanced robotics!Responsibilities Design and build manufacturing fixtures & automation solutionsDevelop and maintain reimagined assembly processesTranslate Pilot production learnings to high volume manufacturing solutionsCreate robust process controlsImplement in-line product testing & validation strategyDrive DFM to ensure scalability through product developmentTroubleshoot issues to find & resolve root causes to prevent recurrenceWelcome new challenges and work independently across disciplines to both investigate issues and identify solutions.QualificationsFast learner A-player great work ethic and ambitiousBS/MS/Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience.8 years of industry mechanical engineering experienceCAD expert (3 yrs in Solidworks preferred)Experience in designing complex manufacturing systemsFull scope manufacturing development experience from Pilot through high-volumeMachine design experienceRapid prototyping CNC sheet metal design plastics moldingDesign-for-manufacturing Design for assembly tooling experienceProject management and planning of complex deliverablesNice To Have ExperienceExperience with robotics automation of warehouses factories or labsCameras optics lenses precision calibrationExperience with advanced quality control systemsSoftware experience to troubleshoot robotics issuesExposure to high volume production line design & developmentUnderstanding of wide array of manufacturing systems & technologiesAdditional RequirementsWilling to work extended hours and weekends if neededAbility to support & maintain daily manufacturing operations while designing future automation & improvements$130000 - $180000 a yearCultureWe embrace challenges and strive to make the impossible possible each day.
