Job Description

Summary A Float Pool RN is primarily responsible for all aspects of direct patient care while maintaining high performance level in quality, service, critical nursing skills and critical thinking. The RN provides leadership by delegating and working cooperatively and collaboratively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice and professional nursing performance in the clinical setting. The position my include floating to MSU, PCU, and ICU. The Float Pool RN must be familiar with and adhere to regulatory standards and Kearney Regional Medical Center policies and procedures. The Float Pool RN will report to the Clinical Resource Manager. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or current enrollment in BSN program preferred. Two (2) or more years of recent experience in a clinical care, acute care setting preferred. OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS: Current Nebraska Registered Nurse Licensure. Current BLS certification. ACLS certification within 6 months of hire. PALS certification within 6 months of hire. NIHSS Stroke Scale within 6 months of hire.
