Stamping Tool & Die Maker / Repair - Akron, Ohio - JOB 26-00238 Salary Range: $60K - $90K Permanent Position with Benefits Akron, Ohio manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Journeyman for Stamping Tool & Die repair. REQUIREMENTS High School Graduate, GED, Vocational School and/or higher-level education Must have Journeyman certification with 2+ years' experience with stamping die making or repair Repair damaged and worn dies Must be able to read Blueprints with knowledge of tool room equipment Proficient with grinders, drill presses, lathes, shapers, heat treat equipment, gages Make sketch of stamping tooling, perform shop mathematics to create templates File, grind, chip and stone dies or tools to exact tolerances Perform heat treating on dies, tooling & fixtures Verify correctness of machined parts, read blueprints, verify dimensions, clearances, and die alignment, using dial indicators, gage blocks, thickness gages, and micrometers. Set up stamping dies and operate press to run sample parts, Perform final adjustments and refinement operations on die in press, and inspect part Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
