We are committed to offering access to high-speed internet to customers worldwide and to providing a world class experience for all users.The Starlink Localization lead will join the growth team that is responsible for launching growing and improving Starlink around the world. You will be responsible for ensuring Starlink looks and feels native to customers in each market. The role will require building out and managing a localization process working cross-functionally to improve our tooling and researching and implementing market and cultural nuances.RESPONSIBILITIES:Own the localization of Starlink content including strategic ownership of the quality program across our website app emails and support materialsCoordinate all translation projects with external vendors and internal stakeholdersMaintain & improve strategy for glossaries style guides and linguistic assets to ensure consistent tone and terminologyDrive localization timelines and deliverables across multiple languagesConduct market research and cultural audits to ensure cultural relevance of our contentOwn the quality assurance for translated content including managing reviews and resolving feedbackImprove and own the success of documentation and process improvements for localization workflowsCollaborate with teams across Communications Product Engineering and Customer SupportBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree2 years of localization program management experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. Linguistics Translation Studies International Communications Localization Project Management)Demonstrated experience building and scaling localization programs for global consumer productsExpertise in localization tooling and workflows (e.g. TMS CMS CAT tools QA systems)Proven success managing external vendors and internal stakeholdersDeep understanding of cultural differences market preferences and regional nuances across multiple countriesStrong attention to detail with the ability to navigate fast-paced environments and evolving prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFluency or near-native proficiency in one or more non-English languages preferredStrong organizational and project coordination skillsExcellent attention to detail and linguistic qualityExperience working with cross-functional teams or international marketsPassion for creating seamless global user experiencesAdaptability and comfort in fast-paced ambiguous environmentsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:This position is based in Redmond WA and requires being onsite - remote work not consideredMust be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as neededWillingness to travel to other SpaceX locations and events as neededCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay range:Localization Lead: $90000.00 - $115000.00/per yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of company stock stock options or long-term cash awards as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law.
