Ensures that operational and fiscal efficiencies are maintained and creates an infrastructure which supports the accurate and efficient maintenance of instrumentation and equipment critical to the delivery of quality operative/procedural care. Job DutiesParticipates in division and hospital committees and appropriate external committees/organizations.Applies corrective action in accordance with network policies/procedures.Develops, implements, and evaluates unit goals consistent with the hospital's mission, philosophy, and core values.Initiates actions to protect patients, visitors, and healthcare providers from environmental hazards.Manages ongoing quality assessment and improvement activities.Manages staffing according to policy and budgetary plan.Monitors compliance with internal and external safety policies and procedures.Minimum QualificationsSpecialized Diploma Surgical technology or Associate's Degree 5 years Sterile processing environment. and5 years Clinical setting. and1 year Management role. Computer skills, PC, and software knowledge including instrument management tracking system. CSPM - Certified in Sterile Processing Management - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire orCST - Certified Surgical Technologist NBSTSA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire CFER - Certification for Flexible-Endoscope Reprocessor - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree Physical DemandsLift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking.
