Job Description
Pay rate: $21.22/HourPosition DescriptionStewards/Dishwashers are responsible for overall cleanliness of the hotel restaurant kitchen areas and guest areas. Stewards/Dishwashers may work indoors or outdoors cleaning all kitchen equipment tools and supplies as well as all dishes glasses and equipment required for the operation. Must always conduct themselves in a professional manner to reflect the standards of the department. ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including the dish washing machine hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station and trash compactorWash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas tables tools knives and equipmentUse detergent rinsing and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishesInspect clean and organize all items send soiled items back for re-cleaning and re-washing if necessarySort soak and wash china glass and silverwareEmpty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areaClean and mop all areas in assigned departmentsDispose of glass in the proper containersBreak down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle binDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goalsLeadership Maintain a positive upbeat role promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customersCustomer Service Follow up on complaints questions and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly timely and efficient mannerTeamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workersSafety Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.Due to the intimate nature of the resort with limited number of guests on property must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different resort spacesOther duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
