Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Enterprise Project ManagerLocation: South Carolina/ 100% RemotePosition Type: C2C/W2Years of Experience:10+ yearsDuration of the Contract: 12 monthsAdditional details: Candidate will be required to be close to the Clemson facility for emergency purposes, as needed for disaster recovery. Project Scope:The Enterprise Project Manager will serve as the lead architect and senior systems expert responsible for designing, developing, and implementing highly specialized IT architecture for mission-critical environments. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise storage solutions, systems administration, and performance optimization across complex technical ecosystems.The ideal candidate will act as the Storage Infrastructure Architect, ensuring operational stability and uptime for critical systems such as Kafka, SAMQFS, ZFS, ESXi, Splunk, OpenDuty, and Nagios. This position demands an independent, senior-level professional capable of managing end-to-end architecture, system health checks, troubleshooting, and technical leadership across teams. Key Responsibilities:Architecture & InfrastructureArchitect, design, develop, and implement specialized IT solutions and enterprise architecture.Serve as the Storage Infrastructure Architect for mission-critical systems.Oversee system health and performance for Kafka, SAMQFS, ZFS, ESXi, Splunk, OpenDuty, and Nagios.Systems AdministrationPerform independent analysis, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex web, mainframe, and client-server technologies.Architect, deploy, and manage system software, hardware, and associated components.Provide advanced technical support for operating systems and subsystems supporting mission-critical operations.System Maintenance & OptimizationAct as Subject Matter Expert in designing, installing, and maintaining system software for large-scale critical systems.Tune systems for maximum performance and stability.Monitor system capacity and ensure scalability and continuity.Mentor Systems Programmers I & II and provide expert technical assistance to internal teams.Collaborate cross-functionally and serve as a key technical resource. Required Skills & Experience:· 10+ years of experience with SAMQFS· 10+ years of experience with SL8500· 10+ years of experience with ACSLS· 10+ years of experience with Clemson – USCalifornia DRBS relationship Preferred Skills:· Perl· C Programming· Splunk· ESXi· System performance review· Troubleshooting complex system issuesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, or a Technical field
