DescriptionJob duties involve contact with customers which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods electronic equipment personal information store merchandise and other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Companys customers staff employees vendors contractors and the general public.This positions typical schedule is 40 hours per week which may include evenings and/or weekends.ResponsibilitiesProven record of high-performanceDevelops positive relationships with others to better accomplish work goals.Effectively meets customer needs and builds productive relationships by treating each customer like a GUEST.Clearly conveys information and ideas to others in a manner that helps them understand and retain the message.Presents products and services to customers in a manner that provides solutions and benefits and strengthens the Sherwin-Williams name.Actively participates as a member of a team to help the store achieve its goals.Uses people resources and information to make good decisions.Effectively manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.Possesses appropriate levels of knowledge of core product offerings and operational aspects of job responsibilities.Sets high standards of performance for self; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks.Demonstrates honesty and the ability to avoid what is wrong and stand up for what is right.Maintains effectiveness when experiencing changes in work and adjusts effectively to new work processes situations and requirements.Ensure customers are serviced appropriately to meet their expectations.Support sales rep selling activities.Assist in handling customer complaints within district guidelines.Ensure all transactions are handled properly through the store computer operating system.Ensure that all customer orders are accurately measured and cut and that records are properly maintained.Ensure orders are installed in a timely manner.Place and follow up on purchases from outside vendors per established policy.Maintain floor covering inventory levels to maximize sales and inventory turns.Ensure that the floorcovering area is properly equipped and maintained to support the marketing plan.Ensure safety loss prevention and security practices are followed according to policy and correct or report non-compliance.Perform/direct processing of daily batch paperwork.Ensure that staff performs at a level appropriate to meet store objectives by clearly communicating assignments and expectations.Work with carpet installers to ensure that they properly represent Sherwin-Williams while preserving their status as independent subcontractors.Must be familiar with the proper handling storing labeling cleaning up spills disposing of and filing all paperwork associated with hazardous material/waste.Assist in conducting physical inventory in a timely and accurate manner.Other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Employee is required to lift and carry up to 50 lb. frequently and up to 100 lb. on occasionMust have at least a High School diploma or GEDMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust be willing to work all scheduled hours which may include evenings and weekends with or without reasonable accommodationPreferred Qualifications:Retail sales and/or floorcovering experienceRequired Experience:Unclear Seniority Key Skills Storage Administration,Storage,Store Keeping,Store Operations,Stock Control,Accounting,Retail Sales,Daily Operations,Store Management,Inventory Level,New Merchandise,Financial Statements,Financial Transactions,Annual Budgets Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
