Job Description

Store Manager – Roles & Responsibilities Position Title: Store Manager Department: Retail Operations Reports To: District Manager / Regional Director Status: Full-Time, Exempt Core Purpose To lead the store as a high-performing, customer-first, revenue-driving unit by managing people, product, and process with excellence. Store Managers are ultimately responsible for the customer experience, sales outcomes, team development, and local execution of brand standards. Business Operations Own all store-level KPIs including sales, AOV, UPT, labor %, shrink, and inventory turns. Manage scheduling, timecards, and labor pacing to optimize productivity and payroll efficiency. Execute all merchandising plans, product launches, visual standards, and floor sets. Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, banking, and audit compliance. Coffee Shop Integration (If applicable) Ensure beverage stations follow health, cleanliness, and prep standards. Cross-train associates in both retail and F&B duties as required. Monitor consumable inventory, ordering cadence, and service pacing. Leadership & People Development Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high-performance team. Coach assistant managers and leads to own their specific areas (sales floor, stockroom, café). Conduct regular performance check-ins and formal reviews. Uphold company culture, values, and recognition programs. Sales & Customer Experience Lead by example in delivering best-in-class customer engagement. Implement conversion strategies, upsell training, and promotional execution. Resolve escalated customer issues with professionalism and accountability. Track and report on NPS or customer feedback trends. Inventory & Visual Management Oversee all inbound/outbound inventory activities including RTV, cycle counts, and replenishment. Partner with Inventory Leads or Key Holders to maintain stock accuracy and presentation. Ensure the floor is zoned, sized, and merchandised to brand standard daily. Local Execution & Field Communication Serve as point of contact for district communications and corporate directives. Participate in weekly leadership calls and submit required reporting on time. Engage in local marketing opportunities and community events when approved. Communicate staffing, maintenance, and supply needs proactively. Position Scope Store managers are expected to think like owners, operate like operators, and lead like coaches. Must be available on key retail days (weekends, holidays, promotional launches). Travel may be required for meetings or store openings. Qualifications 3+ years of retail management experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in POS systems, basic Excel/Google Sheets, and reporting tools Passion for customer experience, brand loyalty, and tactical execution
