Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager to lead our high-volume truck stop operation. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in food service management, hospitality, and team leadership, driving operational excellence while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. As the face of our operation, you will motivate your team to deliver a seamless experience for every traveler and visitor. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the truck stop’s daily operations, including food service, retail, fuel sales, and hospitality services. Lead and manage a diverse team of staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and efficient workforce. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and company policies across all departments. Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and shrinkage. Supervise kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and food handling to deliver quality products consistently. Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting. Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability. Coordinate staff training programs focused on customer service excellence, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Conduct shift management duties to ensure smooth transitions between teams during busy periods. Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain loyal patrons. Skills Extensive experience in food industry management with a focus on quick service & fast food restaurant operations. Proven leadership skills in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting. Expertise in inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures. Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality service standards. Excellent communication skills for staff training, interviewing potential team members, and customer interactions. Experience with kitchen management including food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary standards. Background in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence in casual dining or banquet settings. Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple departments such as bar operations or catering services if applicable. Skilled in shift management, staff development & training, and operational troubleshooting within a fast-paced environment.
