The Stormwater Technician position requires a reliable, honest, self-motivated, and detailed-oriented individual.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the SWPPP Inspector requires driving to construction sites throughout Texas and Oklahoma and performing SWPPP inspections to maintain compliance with State regulatory regulations. Construction projects are generally linear-based projects. Additional duties are to:Monitor, record, and report any issues related to stormwater pollution, such as sediment and erosion controls measures, stormwater runoff, and other stormwater pollution preventionsPrepare accurate, correct, and timely SWPPP inspection reportsDocument and report all deficiencies in a timely and professional manorUpdate the SWPPP using a construction inspection software application Communicate any identified deficiencies to the construction representative or environmental specialist assigned to the project Participate in safety meetingsRequirements0 - 2 years of stormwater inspection experience Basic understanding of the principles, practices, and planning of stormwater management techniques including, but not limited to, erosion controls, sediment controls, and other best management practicesAbility to operate independently and work in a team environment Ability to work in all types of weather and field conditionsMust be able to work outside typical daily 8 am to 5 pm hoursMust be able to travel for extended periods of timeCommunicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingMust have basic computer skillsAbility to read topographic maps and construction plansOrganize, file, and maintain detailed inspection reports Follow TTL’s and Client-specific health and safety standardsValid driver’s license and a safe driving recordTime managementExperience in the Energy/Power Market Sectors (linear permitting project experience), transportation (DOT) is a plus, but not required. Preferred Certification (one of the following preferred)QCIS – Qualified Compliance Inspector of StormwaterCESSWI – Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector, orCISEC – Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion ControlJob Type: Full-timeThis position is subject to a pre-employment drug and motor vehicle record check.
