Were committed to making a positive impact on the world providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities and fostering a culture where everyones empowered to be their best.POSITION SUMMARYThe purpose of this job is to operate the rigid and semi-automatic stranders to produce cable.SHIFT DETAILSWorking Shift: Friday -Sun 7pm -7am (Work 36 hrs. and get paid for 52hrs)Training Shift: Mon -Thru 7pm -7amESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Review work orders / product documentation Load and unload spools with raw material and finished product Set up machines: load pay off reels and spools remove empty spools guide wire through machinechange dies and gears Operate and monitor semi-automatic and rigid machines and take-up and pay-off machines. Repair / weld breaks capstan and other operational issues Make samples for QC Gauge / inspect product Load and operate chopper Operate fork trucks and reel mover Monitor and maintain supply of raw material Generate labels apply to product and document Cut off secure wrap and remove finished product from line to storage Trouble shoot line problems and repair or request assistance as indicated Communicate with supervisors work as part of teamEDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS Read / use precision gauges and tools Perform shop math Read/follow written instructions Use computer for simple tasksSKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Maintain orderly and clean work area Verify calibration of measuring devices Train employees Participate in maintaining ISO certification Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement Perform other duties as assignedFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
