Role Summary

The Specialist, Client Management plays a critical role in advancing the success of our biopharma partners and supporting McKesson's integrated specialty pharmacy model. As the primary point of contact for key client programs, you will support end to end program operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure delivery excellence across multiple business lines.

This role is ideal for a forward thinking, analytically minded relationship builder who proactively identifies opportunities, solves problems with cross functional partners, and ensures that our clients experience seamless, high-quality service.

What You'll Do

Client & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a main point of contact for assigned pharmaceutical clients, ensuring clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
  • Drive strong client engagement by providing consultative insights, identifying workflow improvements, and highlighting opportunities for program and revenue growth.

  • Prepare and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews that showcase results, trends, and strategic recommendations.

Program & Project Management

  • Manage day to day program operations, timelines, and deliverables for cross functional teams (Quality, Pharmacy Services, Legal, Finance, BI, Marketing, and more).
  • Track performance against service level agreements; identify gaps and lead corrective action planning.
  • Oversee the change request process and maintain project plans, tracking logs, and relevant documentation.
  • Validate reporting accuracy and interpret results to provide meaningful, actionable insights to clients.

Financial & Contract Oversight

  • Monitor program profitability and provide monthly variance commentary when needed.
  • Review, validate, and manage the accuracy of all client billing activities in partnership with Finance.
  • Support pricing and contract modification activities for new and existing client initiatives.

Internal Collaboration & Leadership

  • Foster a strong team environment and support effective communication across the Client Relationship organization.
  • Escalate risks or issues appropriately and ensure leadership visibility into program operations.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and recommending innovative solutions.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of equivalent experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Critical Skills

  • 4+ years of professional experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, client/account management, consulting, finance, or program management.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing client-facing programs or complex operational workflows.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Visio/Project a plus.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through.

Travel

  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$69,800 - $116,300
