Our comprehensive services include Mr. GoodTower® evaporative cooling equipment, Daikin VRV systems, centrifugal and screw chiller service, ABB drive services, and conventional mechanical equipment.POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Strategic Operations serves as a key member of the leadership team, driving organizational effectiveness and operational excellence across all HMS locations. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, managing critical initiatives that align with company objectives while improving efficiency across our 16+ branch locations. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader who can bridge executive strategy with day-to-day operations in our dynamic, employee-owned organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Planning & ExecutionDevelop and execute strategic initiatives in partnership with the HMS President and executive teamLead annual strategic planning process and facilitate quarterly business reviewsMonitor KPIs and provide data-driven insights to inform decision-makingIdentify operational gaps and develop solutions to improve organizational effectivenessOperational LeadershipDrive process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfactionOversee integration of new branches into the HMS operational frameworkFacilitate communication between corporate office and field operations across 16+ locationsImplement systems that support scalable growth while maintaining company cultureExecutive SupportServe as strategic advisor to President on organizational and operational mattersManage executive priorities and workflow to optimize leadership effectivenessPrepare presentations and communications for internal and external stakeholdersFacilitate executive meetings and ensure follow-through on action itemsBusiness & Financial ManagementCollaborate with Controller to monitor financial performance across branchesAnalyze business metrics and identify opportunities for optimizationSupport ESOP communication regarding ownership benefitsCoordinate with all sister companies (H&H, HHY, HBT and others) on joint initiativesQUALIFICATIONSEducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management requiredMBA or advanced degree preferredExperience7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, strategy, or business managementExperience in construction, mechanical, HVAC, or commercial services industry strongly preferredProven track record managing complex, cross-functional projectsMulti-location or multi-branch business environment experience preferredCore CompetenciesStrategic thinking with ability to execute tacticallyStrong business acumen and financial literacyExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAnalytical problem-solving abilitiesProject management expertiseHigh emotional intelligence and adaptabilityTechnical SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business intelligence toolsExperience with project management and collaboration softwareData analysis and presentation capabilitiesValid driver's license and ability to travel (25-30%)EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERHoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
