My client is seeking a Structural EIT or PE to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on Industrial building projects. This role requires an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses excellent project management skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our projects, while also contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and analyze structural components and systems in accordance with industry standards and project requirements, using software such as STAAD, RISA, and REVIT.
2. Prepare and review detailed structural engineering plans, designs, and layouts.
3. Respond to RFIs and coordinate with project teams to ensure that all structural aspects of the project are in compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
4. Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
5. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
6. Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure effective execution of projects.
7. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineering staff.
8. Manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining a strong attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
9. Continuously improve knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
2. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on Industrial structures
4. Proficiency in structural engineering software, including STAAD and REVIT
5. Demonstrated experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
6. Strong knowledge of industry standards and building codes.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to think creatively and strategically.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
9. Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
