The Structural Group Leader will guide our exceptional team towards achieving D|F's goals and promote a positive and inclusive team culture. The individual will cultivate an atmosphere of collaboration and communication, while equipping staff with the necessary tools for individual and business success. Working together with teams and technical leaders, the individual will strategize and implement initiatives to enhance team performance, productivity and quality of work.About the Structural Team The D|F Structural team is a diverse group of professionals that are driven by a passion to deliver quality work to our clients. The Team manages a diverse portfolio of current projects throughout SC, NC and GA. The portfolio of projects includes state and local government clients, Industrial clients, architectural clients, private clients and educational clients. This diversity has enabled a strong business built on collaboration and delivering excellence.Responsibilities:Lead the structural group business in a manner that exemplifies D|F's core values: Expertise, Innovation and IntegrityDevelop and execute the business growth strategy for the structural group which aligns to D|F objectives and initiativesIdentify, manage, and participate in key industry events that align with the growth strategyCreate and maintain a robust pipeline of project opportunities as documented and managed in D|F's client relationship management databaseAssist in leading key pursuits, proposal reviews and interview preparationLead and develop a strong and diverse team of project/client managers and technical practitionersRecruit, retain, and develop top talent, and support their career developmentSet and actively manage the team's direct project utilization in a manner that aligns with D|F goals and objectives • Foster and promote a culture of excellence in people management, project management, cost controls, and overall profit and loss managementServe as Principal in Charge for existing clients across the project portfolioOversee contracts, scope and fee development to maintain quality deliverable and profitability and manage riskSupport operations and project delivery teams in exceeding key project performance goalsApply best practices to project delivery by leveraging technology and standard methodologiesCoordinate with the COO to align on D|F's risk tolerances and proceduresRequirements:Bachelor's degree in civil, structural or related technical disciplineProfessional Engineering License15 years of experience in structural engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership or management roleDemonstrated experience managing project managers, engineers, designers, and clientsProven experience in the successful management of business financials for engineering and consulting contractsMust have a valid U.S. Driver's LicenseBenefits:Competitive WagesHigh Deductible Health Plan - HSA with Company Contributions PPO Health with Low DeductibleZero Dollar Copay for TeladocFlexible Schedule with Core Hours of 9am-4pm Mon-Th (Remaining Hours can be Flexible/Remote)Competitive Paid Time Off and Holiday PayProfit Sharing Plan (company contributes regardless of employee's contribution)Professional MembershipsContinuing Education and Licensure ReimbursementStraight Time Overtime or Key Performance Incentive Program
