Position SummaryTemporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Student Affairs.Start DatePositionavailable on or after December 4 2025 and ending on or beforeMay 31 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget department needs and job performance. Job Description/DutiesDuties include but are not limited to:Assist student organizations with booking campus spaces and facilities for meetings and events.Help organizations navigate event registration processes and ensure compliance with university guidelines.Provide support for student organization events as needed (set-up check-in logistics).Participate in SLEB trainings and workshops as needed.Provide general student organization support.Provide customer service to students at the Student Engagement Office front desk (in-person phone or email).Answer questions and direct students to appropriate resources policies or staff.Assist with maintaining student organization records databases and communication channels.Support the planning and execution of student involvement fairs leadership events and recognition programs.Assist in coordinating and promoting student organization training sessions and workshops.Maintain training materials and update resources for student leaders.Track participation in required trainings and maintain attendance records.Support office front desk operations including scheduled shifts at desk.Assist with Bi-weekly student organization news letter Work with office Graphic Designer in pushing out materials.Support department tabling and department event set up when needed.Support RSO Schedulers when needed.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:It is preferred but not required that the incumbent demonstrates possession of a Bachelors degree.Demonstrates enrollment in a masters degree program: Counselor Education Public Administration with coursework and interest in student personnel or higher education administration or a related field.It is preferred but not required that the incumbent demonstrates previous student organization involvement.Ability to work with a diverse student and administrative customer base.Ability to work with and contribute to the team.Outstanding interpersonal skills.Excellent decision-making and time management skills.Dependability punctuality honesty and integrityAbility to function well under pressure and in a fast-paced office environment.Ability to prioritize work manage time and multi-task appropriately.Effective customer relations and communication skillsInterest in mentoring developing and supervising students.Willingness to work evening and weekend hours.Required Qualifications:Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.Salary Range$17.00per hour.How to ApplyTo be considered qualified candidates must submit a completed Stanislaus State online employment application and resumé.
