Job Details Kalispell MT Part Time High School $14.00 - $15.00 Hourly StudentJob Description DEPARTMENT AND LOCATION: Bookstore; Blake Hall FVCC Kalispell CampusELIGIBILITY:Open to Work Study eligible FVCC Students (as determined by Financial Aid) enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.START DATE: This position will start Fall Semester 2025 LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: Academic Calendar Year 2025/2026WORK SCHEDULE:Flexible schedule between Monday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. may workup to 19 hours per weekDRESS CODE:Casual wear with appropriate coverage.POSITION PURPOSE/ROLE:Supports the Bookstore and/or supervisorPOSITION DUTIES:Under minimum supervision:Provides quality customer services to all Bookstore customers and visitors by approaching and greeting them and offering assistancePerforms cashier functionsCleans Bookstore area and maintains general cleanliness and stocks shelvesMay perform other like dutiesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Current FVCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester andPrevious cashiering experience andAbility to work with a minimal level of supervision as well as in a team environment andAbility to be self-motivated andAbility to consistently provide quality customer service to customers visitors and coworkers andAbility to problem-solve and follow directions andbe self-motivatedandPossesses a cooperative spirit in working with peers supervisors students and the publicSTUDENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT:Communication skills critical thinking planning collaboration customer service professionalismPREDICTED OUTCOME: Critical thinking collaboration communicating effectively customer service professionalismSTUDENT EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES:Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits for fall or spring semester to qualify for student employment.Students may not work beyond 19 hours per week during semester.Student workers shall be actively engaged; no use of cell phones (except in case of emergency) or social media.Student workers shall demonstrate a commitment to the job with adherence to work schedule effective communication/interpersonal skills and quality customer service skills to be a representative of FVCC.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:FVCC is an equal opportunity employer.
