Requisition:202500428STTitle:Student Employee-Academic Success Center-Writing Tutor (Spring 2026)Employee Class:Student EmployeeCollege Work Study Position:NoDepartment:Academic Success CenterDivision:Division of Academic AffairsHours per week:15-20Hiring Rate:$10 per hourNature & Purpose of Position:Applicants will work as undergraduate peer tutors at the Writing and Humanities division of the Academic Success Center and can expect to work with SHSU students from any level or discipline on student writing. Tutors will assist students in all aspects of the writing process and will have the opportunity to tutor more advanced topics.Responsibilities include:Conducting one-on-one tutoring sessions with studentsFacilitating workshops in classrooms and for organizations upon requestParticipating in other Writing Center projects and initiativesAttending required meetings and professional development trainingsSupporting students across all writing-related needsThis is an in-person position at the Academic Success Center.
