Youll play a key role in supporting Western Nevada Colleges outreach efforts by helping share information about college programs and services assisting with events and providing support at the information desk. This position is ideal for students looking to build practical skills connect with the campus community and contribute to a positive experience for fellow students and visitors.Duties & Responsibilities: Support the distribution of marketing and recruitment materialsServe as a knowledgeable resource at the information deskAssist students and visitors with accessing online tools and resourcesProvide event support for on-campus events hosted by the Advancement teamContribute to a positive and professional public image of the collegeQualifications:Preferred Qualifications:Experience in working with the public/customer serviceExperience with Microsoft OfficeStudent Employment Eligibility:Fall & Spring Semester EligibilityEnrollment in at least 6 credits each regular semester; andBe in a degree seeking program; andMeet all Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements:67% completion rate in the last enrolled semester67% cumulative completion rate2.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scaleHave not exceeded the maximum number of credits allowed (90) or received two degreesOR be on an approved appeal and on probation with an Academic Plan; andBe authorized to work in the United StatesSummer Eligibility - Students are eligible to work during the summer if they meet the following criteria:Enrolled in at least 6 summer credits; orSuccessfully have completed the spring semester and enrolled in the required 6 credits for the fall semester (summer enrollment in this case is not required); andMeet all Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements listed previously; andBe authorized to work in the United StatesChanges in Student EligibilityContinued employment is contingent on maintaining eligibility. If a students eligibility changes their role may be subject to termination and/or they may be temporarily required to remain off work.
