Position OverviewThe Finance & Business Economics Academic Area at the KU School of Business is hiring for a student hourly position. This position will assist with will course materials, verify solutions for projects, and evaluate possible course materials. Once the course launches in mid-March, this position will support enrollee learning.Throughout their employment, student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.Job DescriptionJob duties may include (but are not limited to):50% - Grading30% - Special projects10% - Holding office hours10% - Other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMust have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.Must have earned an A or A- in FIN 310 or FIN 311.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to follow instructions as shown in application materials. Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel) as shown in application materials.Current KU Business School Student.Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR. (2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
