Job Details Kalispell MT Part Time High School $13.00 - $14.00 Hourly StudentJob Description DEPARTMENT AND LOCATION OF JOB:TRIO Student Support Center Learning Resource Center 129 FVCC Kalispell CampusELIGIBILITY:Open to all current FVCC Students enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester - Must have Instructor recommendationSTART DATE:This position will start Fall Semester 2025LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT:Academic Calendar Year 2025/2026WORK SCHEDULE:Flexible schedule between Monday and Saturday. This position may work up to 19 hours per week. DRESS CODE:Business casual wear with appropriate coveragePOSITION PURPOSE/ROLE:Under minimum supervision provides academic tutoring to support student successPOSITION DUTIES:Provides individual and group academic tutoring to students;Assists students with study skill;Responsible for completing and maintaining accurate documentation relating to tutoring; documentation must be completed within required time period; andMay perform other like duties.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current FVCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester;Must have a B grade or higher in the course offering tutor support;Must have content competency (as determined by instructor);Must possess academic integrity; andGood interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate professionalism and strong customer service skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous tutoring experienceAvailability to tutor for the academic yearTRIO participantGroup leadership experienceSTUDENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT: Communication skills critical thinking effective reasoning leadership organization group facilitation professionalism customer service skillsPREDICTED OUTCOME: Practical competence critical thinking collaboration communicating effectively increased confidence increased subject mastery professionalismSTUDENT EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES:Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits for fall or spring semester to qualify for student employment.Students may not work beyond 19 hours per week during semester.Student workers shall be actively engaged; no use of cell phones (except in case of emergency) or social media.Student workers shall demonstrate a commitment to the job with adherence to work schedule effective communication/interpersonal skills and quality customer service skills to be a representative of FVCC.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:FVCC is an equal opportunity employer.
