Job Details Kalispell MT Part Time High School $14.00 - $15.00 Hourly Student - Work StudyJob Description DEPARTMENT AND LOCATION OF JOB:Student Engagement Campus Recreation FVCC Kalispell CampusELIGIBILITY:Students must be Work Study Eligible (as determined by Financial Aid)START DATE:This position will start August 18 2025 Fall semester 2025LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT:Academic Calendar Year 2025/2026WORK SCHEDULE:Flexible schedule between Monday and Friday 8 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; occasional evenings past 7:00 p.m. and weekends for special events. This position works 5-10 hours per week; it may not work over 19 hours per week.DRESS CODE:Business casual with appropriate coverage FVCC Student Wellness Team branded attire at Student Wellness Team activities/events and a name tag in the Furlong Smith Fitness Center located in the Wachholz College Center.POSITION DUTIES:Under the supervision of the Campus Recreation and Wellness Coordinator performs the following duties:Engage students in programs and activities actively and consistentlyAttend mandatory weekly team meetingComplete a minimum of 4 hours a week in the Furlong Smith Fitness Center planning and programming wellness activities and/or events staffing the front desk and checking in members.Participate in monthly trainings on health-related topicsConduct research on health and wellness topicsDevelop and lead 1-2 wellness activities per semesterSupport and/or co-facilitate in all student wellness activitiesCreate one topic specific bulletin board per semesterRefer students to community/campus resources as requiredMay perform other like duties as requested.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current FVCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a maintained GPA of 2.5 andBasic office and technology skills and willingness to learn new programs andAbility to work independently or as a team player andAbility to work with students staff faculty and community partners andWillingness to learn new skills and activitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience with Wellness programming.Previous experience with social mediaSTUDENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT: Communication critical and reflective thinking leadership marketing professionalism network building risk management teamworkPREDICTED OUTCOME:Practical competence marketing presentation and training skills critical thinking collaboration communicating effectively and teamworkSTUDENT EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES:Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits for fall or spring semester to qualify for student employment.Students may not work beyond 19 hours per week during semester.Student workers shall be actively engaged; no use of cell phones (except in case of emergency) or social media.Student workers shall demonstrate a commitment to the job with adherence to work schedule effective communication/interpersonal skills and quality customer service skills to be a representative of FVCC.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: FVCC is an equal opportunity employer.
