We are a high-energy, enthusiastic, respectful team who values the ideas and opinions of others.Salary range for this position is $21.00 - $26.50 / Hour.We offer the following benefits:Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance403b Retirement Plan Company matched at $1: $1 up to 6% of Annual SalaryEmployee Assistance PlanVacation 2 weeks accrued per year initially, then incrementally more with longevity.Sick Leave - 48 hours.Holidays - 12 paid per year.What You'll Do:Conduct intake with all beneficiaries, including CalOMS forms, consent forms, ROI, and assessments, as well as orientation to the programManage bed assignmentsMaintain documentation in the beneficiary record, which includes intake notes, updated case notes, discharge notes, and shift reportsOversee the self-administration of medicationReceive briefing from prior shift personnel on recent developmentsObserve and report beneficiary behavior to case managers and document in the beneficiary chart as well as shift report in HEREnsure beneficiaries attend all meetings and groups if physically ableConduct walk-throughs of facility and beneficiary rooms every 30 minutes and provide documentation of walkthroughKnowledgeable of Confidentiality laws, policies, and proceduresAnswer telephones and become knowledgeable about referral proceduresMonitor and record vitals of withdrawal management beneficiaries as instructed, as well as conduct 30-minute close watch observation and document in the beneficiary recordComplete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandatesProvide transportation of beneficiaries as neededMaintain a professional demeanor at all timesPerform other duties as assigned or requiredRequirements:What You'll Bring:Understanding of the nature of alcohol/drug addiction and the recovery processCompleted twelve years of education or have a GEDAgree to enroll and complete a drug studies certificate programWill have 5 years to become certified or must be registered upon hire under an accredited drug and alcohol certification programAbility to address stressful situations in a calm manner and be able to communicate in a positive wayMaintain current Adult CPR/First Aid/AEDMaintain current certification and/or registration with CAADE or CCAPPAbility to work with diverse groups of peopleResourcefulness and strong problem-solving skillsDriving RequirementsHold a valid California Driver’s LicenseFour years of driving experienceMust be at least 21 years of ageNo more than one at-fault accidents in the last three yearsNo more than three moving violations in the last three yearsNo major violation in the last 3 yearsCULTURAL COMPETENCIESUncompromising integrity and ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality.Champions the mission, culture, and objectives of the organization.Demonstrates value and respect for all employees and clients.High energy and enthusiasm.Performs effectively as a team player.Values the ideas and opinions of others and routinely collects their input as part of the decision-making process.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical requirements described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. There may be occasions where the employee needs to climb up or down a ladder or equipment and position themselves to maintain files in file cabinets and necessary medical supplies. It is essential for the employee to communicate information and ideas clearly so that others can understand. They must also be able to provide accurate information in these situations. The employee should be able to observe details at close range and occasionally move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds (individually) for various reasons.
